For design aficionado’s and devotees of modernism, Fulham Chelsea Village is a classic of late 1950’s, early 1960’s modernism. Originally designed as artist studios, the building is now listed and protected for it's special architectural and historic interest. The short let London home is also a mere four minute walk to Fulham Broadway shopping centre and underground station.

LIVING ROOM
This spacious duplex flat offers ample living space and floor to ceiling windows allow maximum light. Calm and neutral hues make this a comfortable space to relax with lots of original art work to entertain. The south facing balcony runs the length of the room and is double glazed.

KITCHEN
A separate kitchen is fully equipped with all machines including a washer/dryer and dishwasher. The picture window overlooks communal gardens to the rear of the building, and Stamford Bridge FC.

BEDROOMS
Both bedrooms are on the upper floor and furnished with double beds, ample wardrobe space, and trademark large windows. Quality linen, newly laundered and pressed, is provided for each stay.

BATHROOM
The bathroom offers a bath, power shower over the tub, WC and basin. Starter toiletries and fluffy white towels are provided as standard.

TRANSPORT
Fulham Broadway station - on the District Line - a four minute walk.

GENERAL
Fulham Chelsea Village is fully furnished and equipped including linen, towels, hairdryer, iron and ironing board. This is a spacious short let London home on the second floor of a modernist building with a lift. The flat itself is arranged over two floors. The home sleeps four people in two double beds.

LOCATION
This central location gives you swift and easy access to Fulham, Earls Court, Kensington and Chelsea. Walk along the Fulham Road, down to the King's Road, cross the river Thames and even up to High Street Kensington. The local Finborough Theatre and 606 Jazz Club are worth a visit, as are the many local pubs and restaurants. If your visit is a medical trip, Chelsea & Westminster Hospital, Bupa Cromwell Hospital and Royal Brompton Hospital are in the neighbourhood. For shoppers and collectors, Lots Road and Chelsea Harbour are well known for antiques, interior decor shops and auction houses. For football lovers, you have two major soccer stadiums a short walk away - Stamford Bridge and Craven Cottage. There is also Queens Club and Hurlingham Club if tennis is your thing. And finally, when you need a change of tempo, walk down to the Thames for an interesting stroll along the river.

Neighbourhood

Fulham is a special, attractive part of London where you can holiday and blend in with the locals at the same time. It is a pleasant and affluent area which borders Chelsea and Kensington, with quick and easy access to Hammersmith, West Brompton, Putney, and Wimbledon. The famous museums of South Kensington and the attractions of Knightsbridge are close by and Chelsea is a pleasant stroll away.

Streets such as Lott’s Road, Lillie’s Road and Wandsworth Bridge Road house antique and interiors shops, and you will find more antique shops galleries on the Fulham Road. The Fulham Road itself is always interesting and satisfying to stroll down with it’s many unusual, original shops and boutiques. This main road and it's side streets will offer up everything you need including plenty of handy local amenities.

Enjoy the relaxed, community feel of this popular area, so ideally suited for families. Fulham Broadway with its shopping centre offers supermarkets, restaurants, a health club and a cinema complex. There is a well-known fresh produce market on North End Road and local shops, bistro's, cafes and restaurants abound. The justly famous and well-loved River Café by the Thames is still going strong, and London’s first Michelin starred gastro-pub, The Harwood Arms is here. If you happen to be a football fan, Fulham has not one but two famous and rival clubs you can visit in the immediate area: Craven Cottage home to Fulham FC and Stamford Bridge home to Chelsea FC. Close to Stamford Bridge Stadium is the marvellous Brompton Cemetery which is always worth a visit.

The area down around Chelsea Harbour is fun to walk around and explore. Imperial Wharf and Chelsea Pier have many wonderful eateries, and there is easy access to Battersea and the always wonderful Battersea Park just across the river.

Enjoy the many lovely local parks and open spaces to be found in the area such as Hurlingham Park and South Park. They provide sporting facilities and family attractions for all ages. Bishops Park has Fulham Palace inside it, a lake and pleasant river walks. These are convenient green spaces to recharge and relax in, or indeed to play sports or run in, and they add greatly to the areas attraction and character.

Many of Fulham’s pretty side-streets are lovely to behold with their pastel coloured houses with trees alongside. Not forgetting that the great River Thames rolls just a stone’s throw away…

REFUNDABLE DAMAGE DEPOSIT

The damage deposit is refundable within two weeks after departure.

CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS

You may cancel your booking forty-two nights or more before the start and receive a 50% refund of the total rate. If the booking is cancelled less than forty two nights before the start of the stay no refund will be made. We urge you to have travel insurance in place.

If we do not have people leaving the day that you arrive it may be possible to move in before 14.00, but we can not guarantee this. To ensure an early arrival please book the night before.
We can accommodate late arrival without extra charges.
On your day of departure it is possible to leave luggage at the flat until 13.00 but we will need the flat clear of people by 10.00 so that housekeeping can do their job. If you want to stay later than the standard departure time, please book that day.
