Neighbourhood

Hyde Park is one of the most pleasant and convenient of central locations. The park itself is the largest of the royal parks. Its fabulous unbroken line of green space runs all the way down into Kensington Gardens, making it very popular to stroll or run through. A whole host of year-round attractions and activities are available to all Londoners here, for example sporting events and live music concerts, both rock and classical. Much loved seasonal events attract many visitors such as the Winter Wonderland fair with ice-skating. Not to mention the choice of pubs, restaurants and cafes that are either found in the park or on the outskirts. Because of it’s central location, Hyde Park is convenient to get to from many of London’s best known areas such as Kensington in the west, to Oxford Street in the north. It has many hotels and embassies dotted around its borders, and a fabulous array of shops and department stores for keen shoppers.

Exclusive Mayfair with its boutiques and elegant streets is close to you here. The Marble Arch is located nearby and is a well known London landmark built in the 17th Century as a triumphal arch. It is the official entrance to Buckingham Palace and only members of the Royal family and the King’s Troop are allowed to pass under it. The arch was relocated due to the widening of Park Lane in the 1960’s, and there has been much discussion about finding a more suited spot to give this formidable marble structure more space.

Hyde Park is one of four royal parks that are dotted along prettily in a row, the others being Kensington Gardens, Green Park and St James’s Park. The main entrance is called Queen Elizabeth Gate and is to be found at Hyde Park Corner. This structure is very grand indeed and is made of up a row of columns with three entrance archways that allow carriages to pass through them.
The park offers us many delights, amongst them are Speaker’s Corner, the Serpentine Lake and the Long Water, while wandering further down into the more intimate Kensington Gardens will offer you Kensington Palace, the Peter Pan statue, the Albert Memorial and the Diana Memorial playground.

Speakers Corner is up near Hyde Park Corner. This is a public speaking area, where free discussion and debate are held. The original site was once used for public execution and hangings. Tourists are especially fond of visiting Speaker’s Corner, and it is an interesting way to spend some time and find out what is on people’s minds in the capital and perhaps join in the discussion if you’re well-informed enough or have an opinion.
The wonderfully named Rotten Row is a sandy pathway that runs through Hyde Park down to Kensington Palace. It was once the King's private road, built for a comfortable and safe carriage or horse-ride and it was gas-lit with 300 lanterns at night, making it the first road in Britain that was regularly lit in this way. Rotten Row has a royal plaque commemorating it and is still used for horse-riding today, though thankfully without the highwaymen of old hiding in the bushes, ready to pounce.

Hyde Park and surroundings is a pleasant, bustling location with all the shops, restaurants and attractions of central London at your feet plus the largest park of them all to rest in when you're worn out.

The total displayed includes VAT, exit cleaning and WiFi.
Housekeeping service with linen change once a week is also included for stays of seven nights or more.

TO BOOK

Please book via the property details. Input your dates and number of people to calculate the total. Then follow the Book Now button to the booking form and secure payment gateway. Your card will be will be pre-authorised by your card provider but will not be charged until your booking is confirmed by us. You will receive a confirmation email during our office hours: Monday - Friday 9.00 - 17.30 GMT.

DAMAGE DEPOSIT

For bookings of greater than 28 nights in length, we may ask you to pay a Security Deposit. The Security Deposit will be the equivalent of 28 nights at the occupation rate for the apartment type. We will keep hold of the Security Deposit while you stay with us and we’ll return it within 7 days of your departing, minus any deductions for damages, cleaning, replacement goods, unpaid accommodation or service fees.

CANCEL

Bookings of 1-6 nights – 72 hours notice required for a full refund.
Bookings of 7-27 nights – 7 days notice required for a full refund.
Bookings of 28+ nights – 14 days notice required for a full refund.
All cancellations must be confirmed in writing.

Standard departure time is: 11.00
To guarantee an early arrival please book the night before. Likewise, if you want to stay later than the standard departure time, please book that day.

PROHIBITED

Only people listed on the booking form are permitted to stay at the property. No smoking as standard in all London short term rentals. No parties and no pets.
