Description

Tumble out of bed and stumble to the Piazza for your morning coffee. Covent Garden is at the end of your street – in fact you have a sneak peak of The Royal Opera House from your window. Walk everywhere as you are exceptionally well located and close to the hub-bub that is central London.

LIVING ROOM
This is a a sunny room with sash windows overlooking the communal courtyard.
The room has a sofa, armchair, dining table and chairs for four and TV.

BEDROOM
The quiet bedroom is located to the rear of the building and offers a double bed and wardrobe. Quality linen, newly laundered and pressed, is provided for each stay.

KITCHEN
The kitchen is open plan and fully equipped with gas hob, oven, washer, toaster, microwave and coffee machine.

BATHROOM
An all white bathroom with walk-in shower, wash basin and WC. Starter toiletries and fluffy white towels are provided as standard.

OUTSIDE SPACE
There is an enclosed courtyard to the front of the building with picnic tables and bicycle parking.

TRANSPORT
Covent Garden Underground - Piccadilly line - 5 minute walk.
Holborn - Central and Piccadilly lines - 15 minute walk.
Tottenham Court Road - Central Line & Northern lines - 10 minutes away.
All in zone 1.

GENERAL
Fully furnished and equipped with linen, towels, kitchenware and WiFi.
A baby travel cot may be provided subject to availability - please request when you book.
This home sleeps two people in one double bed.

LOCATION
Opera Covent Garden is a well presented, raised ground floor pied-à-terre, in a secure and gated development. The streets surrounding this building are pedestrianised and no vehicles travel past. Walk to the theatre, walk to Covent Garden, walk everywhere because it is all on your doorstep! Piccadilly Circus, Leicester Square, Trafalgar Square - all the major must see sights of London are there for you to stroll around at leisure.

The location is amazing. It is 2 minutes to Covent Garden, 10 minutes to the British Museum, 5 minutes to Leicester Square, 25 minutes to Shakespeare's Globe.... The apartment itself is very comfortable. The bedroom is small, but comfortable. The shower is great, the bathroom is fine. The kitchen is excellent, very well-equipped. The Wi-Fi is very good. The heating was fine. We felt very secure. The couch is not comfortable. There was nothing else to criticize. We would definitely stay here again. Martin, March 2016.

Neighbourhood

Covent Garden and surroundings is a lively, fun, colourful and ever-popular part of London. It's a delightful mix of the old and the new, where entertainment, street-life, theatre and history come together to delight and entertain the young and the old, and everyone in-between! Not forgetting your choice of shops, markets, coffee houses, bars and eateries to enjoy.

The Piazza at Covent Garden was created in the 17th century as a bold experiment in town planning and the very first public square in the country. For the next 300 years, generations of market traders plied their fruit and veg on the site and the square became the greengrocer to London. Eventually the market outgrew it’s central location and was relocated south of the Thames to Nine Elms. Fortunately the historic Piazza and Palladian buildings were saved from developers and planners by the fervent campaigning of the public and local residents. Sympathetically refurbished and re-invented, Covent Garden is today the vibrant and prestigious heart of central London.

The Piazza's pleasant open space is now a popular shopping area with a multitude of designer shops, bars, and restaurants. There are numerous theatres in the area too – the Aldywich, Lyceum, Coliseum and Fortune to name a few. The famous Covent Garden Opera House adds high-brow swank and the talented street performers add character. The square is the only area in London that street artists are legally permitted and attracts talent from across the world – some of the UK’s most famous performers paid their dues here …

Traditionally the neighbourhood has been popular with small busineses and the trend continues today. Meander down the small streets and alleyways and stumble upon quaint and interesting shops selling everything from tea to TinTin. Much of the area is pedestrianised, traffic free and a pleasure to wander along. The London Transport Museum, which is fascinating and great fun to visit for all generations, is here.

Covent Garden's surrounding areas are quick to get to on foot. The rest of the West End practically surrounds you here or is a short bus ride away. Leicester Square with it's cinema complexes and Trafalgar Square with the National Gallery are close by and are easily reached by walking down Long Acre with it's many shops, boutiques and cafe's. No need for tubes or taxis because China Town, Piccadilly Circus, Regent Street, Oxford Street and Shaftesbury Avenue are all a pleasant stroll from you. This is a great location from which to explore central London. Sights, attractions, cultural & historical places of interest, entertainment, pubs, clubs and eateries of every kinds are all right here, or easily reached.

The total includes exit cleaning and WiFi. There are no other charges unless the home is left dirty, untidy or damaged.

REFUNDABLE DAMAGE DEPOSIT

The damage deposit is refundable within two weeks after departure.

CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS

You may cancel your booking forty-two nights or more before the start and receive a 50% refund of the total rent.
If you cancel less than forty two nights before your stay we will make our best effort to re-let the home and offer you a pro-rata refund. However, this can not be guaranteed and we urge you to have travel insurance in place.

Standard arrival time is: 14.00
Standard departure time is: 10.00
If we do not have people leaving the day that you arrive it may be possible to move in before 14.00, but we can not guarantee this. To ensure an early arrival please book the night before.
We can accommodate late arrival without extra charges.
On your day of departure it is possible to leave luggage at the flat until 13.00 but we will need the flat clear of people by 10.00 so that housekeeping can do their job. If you want to stay later than the standard departure time, please book that day.

PROHIBITED

Only people listed on the booking form are permitted to stay at the property.
No smoking as standard in all London short term rentals.
No parties and no pets.
