Neighbourhood

Chelsea is lovely and absolutely fabulous. Known in the past for its bohemian artists and writers and it's happening music and design scene, the places of interest and sights worth seeing are many! The long and winding King’s Road runs like a rich vein through the area, offering shops, boutiques, local amenities, markets and any type of restaurant, cafe, bar or pub you like. The nearby Fulham Road has it's own style and charm with many interesting independent shops to browse in. Shop till you drop in the designer hot spots here or on Sloane Avenue. Enjoy the pleasant open space of the Duke of York’s Square just moments from Sloane Square. Here you will find an outdoor café, restaurants and shops, plus a good food and produce market on weekends. It's a great spot to take a break away from the bustle of the King's Road and enjoy an ice-cream or a hot chocolate.

The much loved Chelsea Flower Show, is a garden show and exhibition held each May in the grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea. It is the most famous flower show in the UK and probably the world, attracting visitors from all over the planet! The exhibitors win medals for their garden designs and competition is fierce. Inspirational, fun and worth a visit, even for non-horticulture fans!

Chelsea Old Town Hall is a magnificent late Victorian building that has recently been restored. This is a charming and friendly place with marvellous ornate rooms that host everything from music concerts to art exhibitions and fairs. Chelsea Registry Office is located inside and many glamorous and famous Londoners have got married here. Nearby on Sydney Street is St Luke's Church with its gardens and childrens playground. Charles Dickens was married in this lovely church a few days after finishing The Pickwick Papers.

Further down from Sloane Square, you have the option to stroll along the River Thames at Chelsea Embankment. This is therapeutic and pleasant and is also a popular route for runners and walkers, some of whom cross over Battersea Bridge into the lovely Battersea Park. Take a peak at the houseboats - people really do live in them - and watch out for the swan couples who are locals on the river and rule supreme.

Down here by the river in SW10 you find yourself in an interesting part of Chelsea. It was here that punk was born, and members of The Rolling Stones and The Beatles lived here in the early part of their careers. The fashion designer Vivienne Westwood's boutique was the place to be seen in the swinging sixties. Walk around and explore the tree lined side streets, find hidden shops and some good local pubs. Wander over to the Fulham Road to look at the antique and design shops. West Brompton with it's many green spaces including the wonderful Brompton Cemetery is also to be found around here.

Chelsea has many interesting neighbours, such as Knightsbridge, Fulham, Battersea, Earl's Court and Kensington. Sloane Square Underground has Victoria Station just one stop away and the buses that run on the King's and Fulham Roads are numerous and reliable. In fact, this area is perfect for hopping on and off buses, whether you are staying local or heading off to the West End.

REFUNDABLE DAMAGE DEPOSIT

The damage deposit is refundable within two weeks after departure.

CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS

You may cancel your booking forty-two nights or more before the start and receive a 50% refund of the total rent. If you cancel less than forty two nights before your stay we will make our best effort to re-let the home and offer you a pro-rata refund. However, this can not be guaranteed and we urge you to have travel insurance in place.

To guarantee an early arrival please book the night before. Likewise, if you want to stay later than the standard departure time, please book that day. For arrivals that are after office hours, on weekends and on public holidays it is necessary to book our chauffeur who will have keys to your apartment for access.

PROHIBITED

Only people listed on the booking form are permitted to stay at the property. No smoking as standard in all London short term rentals. No parties and no pets.
