Covent Garden The Strand is a stylish two bedroom short let London home in the perfect central location. Stroll through Covent Garden or escape to the River Thames. No need for cabs or tubes in this super central location but if you must there are three underground stations on your doorstep.

LIVING AREA
The living area is spacious and vibrant with a high ceiling and wooden flooring. Enjoy excellent light from windows, the patio door and a skylight. The comfortable seating area offers large sofas plus a dining table and chairs seating six.

KITCHEN
The sleek designer kitchen is open plan to the living area, tucked away at one end. It is fully equipped including a dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer and gas cooker.

BEDROOMS
There are two bright bedrooms, one with a king sized bed and the other with a double bed. Both rooms have good storage facilities and the larger room has desk space. Quality linen, newly laundered and pressed, is provided for each stay.

BATHROOM
The Italian designed bathroom (Dada) is spacious offering a super sized tub with a shower over and a heated towel rail. Starter toiletries and fluffy white towels are provided as standard.

OUTDOOR SPACE
The mirrored patio has outdoor furniture, flowers and plants. This is a charming spot to sit and relax with a drink.

Covent Garden Underground - on the Piccadilly line - travel zone 1 - 6 minutes walk.
Temple Underground - on the Circle & District lines - travel zone 1 - 6 minutes walk.
Charing Cross underground - on the Bakerloo and Northern Lines - travel zone 1 - 8 minute walk

This is a two bedroom/one bathroom flat on the 1st floor of a building without a lift.
This short let London home sleeps up to 5 people in a king sized bed, a double bed and a single sofa bed.

AREA
Covent Garden is charming and centrally ideal! Walk to the theatre, the opera, to sights and attractions - walk everywhere because it is all on your doorstep here! Somerset House, Leicester Square, Trafalgar Square - all the major must see sights of London are within easy reach. This location also affords quick and easy access to the River Thames with The London Eye and historic Strand. Museums, galleries, shops and restaurants surround you in this, the perfect central location.

This property was great, the living/dining area is huge for a London flat. The property mgmt company was extremely responsive (had a room that I couldn't turn the heat on in that was easily resolved). Everything we needed was there.
Only downfalls: bedrooms are on a busy street so if you are a light sleeper you will want to sleep on the fold out in the living room which is significantly quieter. Both our girls slept in the living room and loved it. Also a couple of the light switches were tricky to turn on/off. The location was amazing though. There are great places to eat (especially with kids) steps from the front door. There are bus stops within a block in all directions depending where you are looking to go and the tube stops are accurately described in the listing. We were able to walk to all the major sightseeing attractions and/or take the bus easily. Would absolutely stay here again. Judy, Nov 2018

“Everything was above the standard expectation. The apartment was spacious and comfortable. The location was ideal for accessing all main tourist areas on foot. There was no noise whatsoever from other residents. Some street noise at night, but that is to be expected in a city centre.” Barry, Oct 2018

We enjoyed our stay at the flat. just like with any stay, there were some super positives, but also some negatives. positives: -central location (walk to almost everything) -flat is huge -great sized kitchen -extra amenities for families (pack and play crib for our son, washer/dryer, etc) but make sure you bring your own crib sheet, they don't supply it! -huge bathroom and awesome shower -host was super responsive to us negatives: -bedrooms face the busy street so unless you have white noise makers it can be loud for sleeping -no elevator (we had a buggy for our child so this was difficult to get up and down the stairs) -worn interiors. the flat can use a bit sprucing up with paint, new furniture, better bed linens and removing the dead plants and broken umbrellas from the terrace. -smelly from restaurants below. luckily it was just the faint smell of pizza. overall you cannot beat the location so the negatives were easy to overlook. we thouroughly enjoyed our stay and we'd gladly stay at this flat again! Covent Garden and surroundings is a lively, fun, colourful and ever-popular part of London. It's a delightful mix of the old and the new, where entertainment, street-life, theatre and history come together to delight and entertain the young and the old, and everyone in-between! Not forgetting your choice of shops, markets, coffee houses, bars and eateries to enjoy.

The Piazza at Covent Garden was created in the 17th century as a bold experiment in town planning and the very first public square in the country. For the next 300 years, generations of market traders plied their fruit and veg on the site and the square became the greengrocer to London. Eventually the market outgrew it’s central location and was relocated south of the Thames to Nine Elms. Fortunately the historic Piazza and Palladian buildings were saved from developers and planners by the fervent campaigning of the public and local residents. Sympathetically refurbished and re-invented, Covent Garden is today the vibrant and prestigious heart of central London.

The Piazza's pleasant open space is now a popular shopping area with a multitude of designer shops, bars, and restaurants. There are numerous theatres in the area too – the Aldywich, Lyceum, Coliseum and Fortune to name a few. The famous Covent Garden Opera House adds high-brow swank and the talented street performers add character. The square is the only area in London that street artists are legally permitted and attracts talent from across the world – some of the UK’s most famous performers paid their dues here …

Traditionally the neighbourhood has been popular with small business and the trend continues today. Meander down the small streets and alleyways and stumble upon quaint and interesting shops selling everything from tea to TinTin. Much of the area is pedestrianised, traffic free and a pleasure to wander along. The London Transport Museum, which is fascinating and great fun to visit for all generations, is here.

Covent Garden's surrounding areas are quick to get to on foot. The rest of the West End practically surrounds you here or is a short bus ride away. Leicester Square with it's cinema complexes and Trafalgar Square with the National Gallery are close by and are easily reached by walking down Long Acre with it's many shops, boutiques and cafe's. No need for tubes or taxis because China Town, Piccadilly Circus, Regent Street, Oxford Street and Shaftesbury Avenue are all a pleasant stroll from you. This is a great location from which to explore central London. Sights, attractions, cultural & historical places of interest, entertainment, pubs, clubs and eateries of every kinds are all right here, or easily reached.

CANCELLATION AND REFUNDS

You may cancel your booking forty-two nights or more before the start and receive a 50% refund of the total rate. If the booking is cancelled less than forty two nights before the start of the stay no refund will be made. We urge you to have travel insurance in place.
